About the charity

A new charity with a timeless idea.

The Living Memory Project was created to bring meaningful, memory-based activities to older people—especially those living with dementia.

Our beginning

Connection through the things we remember.

We believe that history is not only something written in books. It lives in songs, sayings, places, celebrations and everyday experiences. When these are shared with warmth and curiosity, they can open conversations and help people feel seen.

We are at the beginning of our journey. Our foundations are in place, and we are building the network of presenters, volunteers, care settings, hospitals, partners and supporters who can help turn the idea into a lasting programme across England.
